They gave the puppet the greatest prize, his strings tangled in foreign conflict. You looked away with sullen eyes, connected to mobile devices. Lose yourself to a website, your life is now an advertisement. Sell yourself and your time. The market made you the product. To satisfy a lust for pride you subscribe yourself the latest gossip. Human tragedies are publicised, purge them with designer diets. When the star's death was televised you watched on awe inspired. Saw the film, bought the shirt and even cried. Dead Celebrities are easy to market.
When they handed you the large bill for a perscription you were forced to fill, at that point did you start to feel that you were cut a raw deal? Your silence was golden on the bidding floor. Your health negotiated behind closed doors at the mercy of Pharmaceutical interest. They set the prices, now they regulate the business.
Where did your anger go?
Distraction. Inaction. Pacification.
Turn away from the screen and face reality.

A nation built on the foundations of power and abuse
we punish the impoverished, while big business does as they choose
they devour our wages to bail out the board
and regurgitate (in)sincerity to your foreclosure
Take control - of every thought and every action
Break what holds - our lives to hungry bankers
Take control - of every thought and every action
Break what holds - our lives to these Bastards
A system built on the framework to keep wealth distribution reduced
More money goes to bombs than to inner city schools
to solve a soaring crime rate they only built more jails
what will the people do when they see the system failed, they'll....
We won't sit back idle anymore
we won't sell our lives out to the board

Dear Mom and Dad, I hope you understand that this is not a choice, it's who I fucking am. And who I choose to Love goes beyond any State and Religion. What difference does it make that the hand I choose to take belongs to a woman or a man. Here we stand with our hearts in our hands. United not in Anger but in our Love. We'll never let them take this from us. What would really change if we granted all this right? Would the crime rate increase, cause conflict in the East, would you gas prices go up? And do you think you God never wanted this to be? Or Perhaps it was the writers of an unauthorized biography. We waited our whole lives, for all we lift our voice and sing the chorus line "Our Right is not your choice." Our leaders will work to try and manufacture a human cure. We hold on into the night, Our Love Will Endure.
